To Do List, as of 8/11 (that's the 8th of November for all you Westerners--which is probably everyone reading this, anyway)

Buy tourist visa (for Singaporeans: $50, other non-Americans: $80, Americans: $150. wtf?)
Buy water filters, small and large padlocks, flashlight, lighter, mace and travel towel
Borrow outlet adapters and chain from Helen
Backup laptop to external hard drive and wipe clean
Print basic maps of cities visiting
Ask DBS about using ATMs in India
Ask StarHub about mobile phone in India
See optometrist and order contact lenses (not going to happen--no moolah for it)
Practice with new camera
Find travel insurance 
Book first few hotels, trains, and jeep tour of Rajaji National Park
Leave December rent with Elisa and convert money
Contact Puneet's guru to schedule meeting in Delhi
Contact ashram in Rishikesh to register for meditation seminar
FINISH LESSON PLANS FOR JANUARY SO THERE'S NO WORK TO DO!!! (update: not going to happen: still don't know what classes I'm teaching.  SUCK.)
